Private Sessions
Alicia offers 1:1 training in-person or virtually. She will tailor the lesson to help you meet your goals, whether they be rehabilitative and therapeutic, or more athletically-oriented. You will learn more about your body and how it works, with special attention given to the application of the lesson to your dancing. Ballet privates and coaching sessions focus on working smarter, not harder, and finding the kind of internal support that allows for authentic artistry. Placement and alignment are always emphasized, as well as technique that is beautiful and sustainable.

Testimonials
“As a ballet rehabilitation specialist, Alicia was truly committed to my growth as a dancer and artist and working with Alicia has fundamentally changed the way I approach ballet technique for the better. Not only did she get me back to dancing again after major knee surgery, but we were able to dissect and deep dive into the mechanics of turnout, core support and breath work together in a way that felt tailored to me and my specific needs as a dancer. Throughout the pandemic when in person lessons weren't possible, we continued with virtual lessons through Zoom. Whether it was finding relevé alignment on an outdoor stage, going through a GYROKINESIS® session on a yoga mat in my living room, or just chatting about which famous dancers had the perfect arabesque and how they achieved it, I always looked forward to our virtual sessions and came away feeling like I unlocked a new skill or secret. Alicia delivers information in a comprehensive, relatable and fun way that makes her lessons unforgettable. I could not have asked for a better teacher to help rebuild me from the ground up!”

“I credit Alicia with fundamentally changing my approach to ballet and turning me into the dancer I am today. Her unique outlook on how to not just use the body but deeply understand the intricate mechanisms that create movement has allowed me to dance with more conviction, care, and intelligence. The combination of her mastery of GYROTONIC® and Pilates with her own thoughtful and personalized exercises enabled me to uncover how to properly execute ballet steps. I use what she taught me the moment I step to the barre every day, in every tendu, arabesque, and saut de chat. From the use of my breath and feelings of spinal length, to the depth of my plies and height of my jumps, I owe it all to Alicia.”

“Alicia was my ballet and Pilates teacher for 6 years in Torrance, CA. The way she explained turnout, port de bras, and core work remain with me more than two decades later and is something I shared with my students. Her Pilates instruction and cues are the bedrock of my continuing practice and the standard I judge all new instructors by. She is the kind of teacher you wish every dancer, intermediate to professional, poorly trained to principal dancer, can benefit from. Whether it’s one session or a hundred, dancers and teachers leave with life lessons. Her style works with all ballet techniques and is enlightening. Her lessons are a positive additive to deeper understanding and richer technical and artistic performance. I’ve witnessed how she has helped dancers to rehab from injury and change the way they move for safer and more dynamic technique. Above all, her passion for ballet, learning, and sharing is endless. It’s a privilege to know her.”
